Searching for Who I am
This last semester at school I was able to take a Family History course. At first I thought that it would be an easy A that consisted of searching, finding and showing off; boy was I wrong. I was able to find out a lot of interesting tidbits about my family, like on my Fathers Maternal side I share an ancestor with El Presidente Obama, don't feel sorry, I am having fun with it. Also I have found many of my Mothers ancestors are Confederate and have slavery dotting the various generations. But those are all side notes. The main goal for this blog is to further my search for my more elusive family members and also see who else out there is searching. As of now I am at a road block on the Parsons side of the family and also the Prater/Prather lines, you have got to love people who just throw their gedcom online and call it good without actually fact checking it. A funny story is on my Maternal side I have a mother that is her own grandmother according to what I have found online, no this is not the Red Green Show or somewhere out in the sticks. All of this I hope leads me further along the path of who I am.
